The purpose of the Arizona City Community Library is to establish and sustain fair and reasonable privileges for patrons. Arizona City Library became a unique non-profit enterprise in 1994. After facing a financial crisis, the current Friends group took over the leadership and management of the library. Library funding is provided through membership pledges, donations, grants, fund raisers, memorial contributions, and county taxes.
Free library cards are available to legal residents of Pinal County. Residents who are under 18 years of age must have their parent’s/guardian’s written permission to get a library card. The first library card is free; after that there will be a replacement fee for lost or destroyed cards.
All patrons must pay outstanding fines before borrowing materials or using the computers.
This small library offers a wide variety of books, DVDs, and audios as well as computers and internet connection for patrons.
Computer stations are available for patrons. Patrons may use the computers for up to four 30-minute sessions per day.
Story Times and Reading Programs are offered regularly. Call the library for the current schedule.
Adults may participate in a monthly book discussion group. The meetings occur on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. Visit the library to get your book club selection.
The loan period for books, audio books, and magazines is two weeks. When patrons join the Friends of the Library, they may keep books for three weeks instead of two weeks. Books can be renewed if no one else has placed a hold on the item. DVDs may be checked out for one week and are not renewable. Special request material obtained through interlibrary loan may require different lending procedures.
Patrons are permitted to borrow a maximum of twenty (20) items, four (4) of the items can be DVDs.
